Service Set Overview
Last updated: October 1, 2025
Service Sets are powerful templates that bundle frequently used services together. Instead of adding services one by one, you can add a complete package in a single click. This saves significant time when building estimates, ensures consistency across your projects, and simplifies the process for complex, multi-part jobs. Once created, you can use these sets to quickly build estimates, customize proposals, and streamline scheduling.
Step-by-Step Guide
Follow these steps to create and use Service Sets to make your estimating process more efficient.
Part 1: Create a Service Set Template
First, you'll need to create your Service Set template in your settings.
Navigate to Settings from the main menu on the left.
Select the Services tab.
Click the New Service Set button at the top right of the page.
Enter a unique Name for your set (e.g., "Asphalt Repair Package" or "Concrete Installation").
Click Add Service and select a service from the dropdown list. Repeat this for all the services you want to include in the bundle.
Once added, you can reorder the services by clicking and dragging them into your desired sequence.
Click Save to finish creating your template.
Insight: Use the Description field and the Edit Notes button to build powerful templates. You can insert dynamic variables by typing {. This allows you to automatically pull in measurements, prices, and cost details from the individual services in the set, creating detailed, consistent scopes of work for your proposals and work orders.
Part 2: Use a Service Set in an Estimate
Once your template is ready, you can easily add it to any estimate.
Navigate to a Project and open an existing estimate or create a New Estimate.
Click the Add Service button.
In the Service dropdown, select the name of the Service Set you created. It will be identified with a "Service Set" label.
Click Add. The entire bundle of services will populate in your estimate, neatly grouped under the set's name.
Enter the Measurement for each individual service within the set. The costs and prices will calculate automatically, and the totals will roll up to the Service Set level.
Troubleshooting
My Service Set isn't showing up in the estimate. If you've just created a Service Set, make sure you clicked Save. The set will appear in the same dropdown list as your individual services when you click Add Service.
The price for my Service Set is $0.00. A Service Set is a container; it doesn't have its own price. You must enter measurements for the individual services within the set for the total price to be calculated.
How can I create a one-time group of services without a template? Within an estimate, click the three-dot menu next to the Add Service button and select Add service set. This allows you to create a new, empty set directly on the estimate that you can add any services to. This is perfect for organizing services for a specific project without creating a permanent template.
