Enhanced Mapping in OneCrew

Overview

Accurate estimating starts with clear, reliable map data. OneCrew’s Enhanced Mapping feature provides high-resolution satellite imagery directly within your projects, giving you better clarity and more precise data when measuring areas and lengths. With the ability to view the latest imagery or historical images from specific dates, this feature improves confidence in takeoffs while maintaining full compatibility with OneCrew’s existing estimating tools.

Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to use the Enhanced Mapping feature in your project:

Access the Project Map:

  • Open your project and navigate to the Map view.

  • At a high level, you’ll see a familiar, traditional map experience centered on your project location.

Zoom In to Reveal the Enhance Option:

  • Begin zooming into your project area.

  • As you zoom in, an Enhance button will appear over the site location.

Enhance the Map with High-Resolution Imagery:

  • Click the Enhance button.

  • Select Latest from the dropdown menu to load the most recent high-resolution imagery.

  • The map will refresh automatically, displaying clearer, more detailed images for the selected area.

Navigate and Estimate with Improved Clarity:

  • Zoom and pan around the enhanced map to view different areas.

  • The increased resolution makes it easier to identify features and use OneCrew’s estimating tools accurately.

View Historical Imagery (useful for seeing job site without ground cover like snow, leaves, etc):

  • Use the dropdown menu to select a specific date or year.

  • Choose a past timeframe (e.g., February 2021, September 2021, or 2018).

  • The map will refresh with high-resolution imagery from that historical date, allowing you to see how the site looked at that time.

Enhance Additional Areas of the Map:

  • Zoom out and move to a different section of the map.

  • Click the Enhance button again to load high-resolution imagery for the new area.

  • This is useful when your project spans multiple locations within the same map.

Note: When a specific date is selected, all enhanced areas on the map will update to that same date for consistency.

Continue Estimating as Usual:

  • All traditional OneCrew estimating tools remain available:

    • Area measurement tools

    • Linear measurement tools

    • Other standard map-based estimating features

  • Enhanced imagery simply improves visual accuracy without changing your workflow.

The Enhanced Mapping feature combines high-resolution, up-to-date (or historical) imagery with OneCrew’s existing estimating tools. This ensures clearer visuals, seasonal views, better measurements, and more confident estimates—especially for complex or detail-heavy sites.

Troubleshooting

Enhance Button Not Visible:
Solution: Zoom further into the map. The Enhance button appears only at closer zoom levels.

Imagery Did Not Update:
Solution: Click the Enhance button again or select a different date to refresh the imagery for the selected area.
