This tutorial provides a step-by-step guide to the various methods available for locating and opening projects.
Step-by-Step Guide
OneCrew provides several ways to locate projects. Choose the method based on the information you have.
1. From Your Dashboard (Active Projects)
Edit animation For projects you're actively working on:
On your Home page, find the Active Projects section.
If your project is listed, click its Name to open its main page.
2. Using the Global Navigation Search
Edit animation The top Navigate... search bar is a quick option:
Type a project identifier (name, address like "1845 25th St", or Project ID).
Search results appear. Look for the document icon (Project) versus the location pin icon (Site).
Click the correct project result to open its page.
Insight: Using a unique Project ID or full address in the global search yields the fastest, most accurate results.
3. Via Associated Entities (Site, Account, or Contact)
Find projects through related records:
Use the Navigate... search bar for the relevant Site, Account (e.g., "Target"), or Contact (e.g., "Darcy Rios").
Open the entity's page from search results.
In the entity's Projects section, click your project's Name to navigate to it.
4. From the "All Projects" List
Edit animation For a comprehensive view with filters:
Go to the main Projects section (left menu) for the All Projects list.
Browse or use top filters (Search by ID/name, Account, Contact, Assigned to, Project status, Tags).
Click the project's Name to open its page.
Pro Tip: Combine filters in "All Projects" (e.g., Account and Status) to quickly narrow down long lists.
Troubleshooting
Project not found in search: Check spelling; try other identifiers (address, Project ID); distinguish "Project" (document icon) from "Site" (pin icon).
Project not in "Active Projects": It may not be assigned to you or is inactive. Use global search or the "All Projects" list.
"All Projects" list overwhelming: Use filters. Project ID search is most direct if available.
